道を教える・案内するときに使える英語表現
道を聞かれて、道順を教えたり、距離やかかる時間を教えたり、交通手段を教えるときなどの定番英語表現です。答えられない時もあるので、「この辺はよく知らない」という意味の英語も覚えておくと便利です。
▼道順を教える／説明するときの英語表現
・Go strait.
（まっすぐ行ってください）
・Turn left.
（左に曲がってください）
＊Make a left.でもOK.
・Go straight along this street, and make a left turn at the first signal.
（この通り沿いにまっすぐ行って、最初の信号で左に曲がってください）
・Turn left at the convenience store.
（コンビニのところで、左に曲がってください）
・Go past the hospital.
（病院を通り過ぎてください）
・It's on the right.
（右側にあります）
＊It's on your right.／You'll see it on the right.でもOK.
・It's on Oxford Street.

・You'd better take a taxi.
（タクシーを拾ったほうがいいですよ）

（次の駅で、JRに乗り換えてください）

＊direction（方向）の前置詞は、in。 in the direction of ～＝～の方向に、という意味。
